2 Diffi Cult…

my Picola quiz? Ok, in normal English: Is my actual Picola quiz too difficult?? I don’t really know how many already played my Picola Quiz No.3 (see post before). Hmm….I’ll wait til tomorrow and then I’ll unban you (at least Nate and my sis), ok?

I will try to make the next quiz easier and hope that I didn’t lose some gamers already…

Today was a good day, because, first: it’s Nate’s birthday and my birthday package that I sent reached him exactly today – great! I set my alarm clock to 6 a.m.! this morning what was midnight for him (US), for congratulating him first :smooch: and as surprise. The big wonder: I really woke up (I guess, if sth. is really important I can wake up immediately). Unfortunately his mobile phone was switched off, he was already sleeping. Damn. No foxed phone, no other possibility to reach him. Ok, I went back to sleep, at least for two and a half more hours. Hope your dinner was nice and you had a great birthday, hon.

Four letters that mean money for me…e-b-a-y. After a longer break I started again with ebaying. Nooo, I’m not in shopping mood, I’m more in selling mood :) Or better: I need to sell a lot of stuff that I don’t need, that is in a too good condition as having it lying around. Therefore I prepared several sales in the program ‘turbo lister’ that eBay offers for preparing auctions offline. It took me half a day (even more) to write the text to every item, doing research for more product infos, measure items, take photos, edit them sometimes and fill in all other important details…sigh…but in the end, after I uploaded my auctions, I found out that eBay reduced the fee for today, May 4th! What a lucky day – Yeeha! Cool, normally I miss the days with a reduced fee.
Keep your fingers crossed that I’ll sell my items well!

More new blog stuff can be proudly presented:
A new subscribe possibility in the left column. Just type in your email address to subscribe to my blog posts. Every time I publish a post, you’ll get a notice via email. I’ll offer opt-in and opt-out (for the specialists, hehe), which means you have to confirm your right email address with answering it through clicking on a link and you can always un-subscribe (if you really want to).

I now have smileys in my blog, in the comment and guest book area. I had a long discussion with myself about using smileys in my blog or not. In the end the devil won :)
You can use the smileys by clicking on them (you must allow java-script with your browser, what everyone normally does). This feature is not working with the Internet Explorer though, but the developer is working on it. Thanks to Thomas Montague for the nice plugin! I like the different possibilites of use, changing and adding smileys. It is very easy to understand and use, I just hope that it’ll work for IE users soon, although I hope that everone uses other browsers than IE (Firefox for instance).

Today during looking for smileys in the net I found a typical thing of forgotten language. In an online forum I read this line: “awwww how cum it dusnt work i reelly lyke these tho………” Is this just cool or why do some people write English words like that? I think there is limit that is more than reached when writing come as cum. But that’s maybe only my opinion, because I’m German and try to write correct English. I agree with using abbreviations for often used words, but writing words totally wrong because they sound the same, but look different is not cool it’s just poor (=my opinion, I’m living in a free, democratic country, please tolerate that ;)).

By the way, on May 1st, our Labour Day (Tag der Arbeit), I was completely offline! You think it is nothing special? Ha, then ask me, addicted to all computer stuff and being online every day…! (Oh, sorry hon, can you please overread this part *g*).
Two years ago a fellow student (I guess it was you Sven?) had the idea of a day where we multimedia students meet to relax, do sports as canoing, inline skating and biking together and MAIN(e)LY being completely offline from all online media, which is computer, internet, mobile phone, digital camera, mp3 player, all digital stuff… This was a hard task for a lot of us students.
Last Tuesday then I celebrated our famous “Offlinetag” (offline day) with fellow students in Kiel, where my university is. We did canoing on the river “Schwentine”. Each boat had three ‘passengers’. What great fun! I paddled with Ron and Sven, two good friends. Sven was eating all the time and Ron was relaxing instead of paddling, so I brought us along the river :P for about 2 hours (not further than we got, hon). The weather was sunny and warm; I didn’t expect that after all-day rain the day before.
After the sports action *puh* we filled our empty stomachs with a very nice BBQ that we enjoyed on the lawn in front of our school cafeteria. Some guys took photos (of course with analogue camera). When the films are developed and scanned to a CD, I’ll show you the pics. Analogue life can be slow sometimes…sometimes?…emm yepp. And Cola is very impatient…

Damn, I should write less, nobody will read this all…must post more often or split posts in separate posts.

#Counting…25 days…. *excited*
