Choc Season Mood
Wow, I’m very surprised that I now have the majority (12 people) who voted for English as (my) blog language! I thought that my German friends (if they read my blog at all) will vote more for German. Well…I will leave the voting open until I leave Germany. I do the voting because I want to write about my new life in New Mexico. I thought that my German friends probably would like to read my stories in German. I have no idea who reads my blog, so if you’re not too shy, please say your name in the comments =)
Today I worked in Kiel again. I got the job yesterday night. It wasn’t as boring as last week, it was very…busy! Today the sales for a very very popular party (for Schleswig-Holstein) called “Oldie Night” started and us, a team of three, were answering phone calls and calling people back all about the ticket order; doing it for six hours straight!!! No time for a coffee (ok, I had a half hot cup, the rest always got cold before I had time to drink it) or for a chat with my colleagues. I brought two books and my tax papers, because I thought it is as boring as last week and I have time for it. Nope. It wasn’t. And tomorrow it will be the same and Friday as well. However, some money is coming in the pot, that’s all what counts.
Here is a picture for you to guess what it is (almost a picola-quiz):

Read my to-do list from one of my last posts and you will know what it is ;o) I just say, almost 250 pages.
I couldn’t finish my to-do-list from last week completely so I will do it this week. Tax return, meeting with student loan office, car check, work certificate request, etc. I will change my eBay sales. From now on I will only sell the stuff that is worth the most, so I can set a higher prize and it’s worth it to put it on eBay and pay the eBay fees. All the small things go into boxes and, as Nathan said, will wait here for a yard sale next year (when we come to visit Germany). Sigh.
Damn, all these
that I bought last Saturday, they already are gone….in my belly…digested…in the underground of this planet. To my defence (?) I must say that I didn’t eat chocolate since weeks!! I promise! But as soon as I think about these ‘weeks’ I cannot think about something else than CHOCOLATE.
Time for a hot chocolate now. Time for bed now. I started to write the post in the early evening. Then my sister called me and now it’s late and I better go to bed. Tomorrow it’s time for call center agent Cola again
Still time for you to vote (see top-left). Please write your name and your preferred (planetcola-) blog language in the comments. Would be very very very and also very helpful for me.

Hon…?
How can you survive wthout eating chocolate? I thought that was immpossible, but don’t worry chocolate is illegal in New Mexico so you don’t have to worry about eating it here. That may be the last time to eat it?????

@Maren: I think you’re right about the ‘comment’ behavior. Too sad. A friend said that he doesn’t know what to write/comment, but he likes to read the blog. I’m maybe different; I always have to say something ![]()
Thanks a lot for your voting explanation!! Now I wonder who else voted for English or for German? I guess no one else will say it here…
Tomorrow must be the day when Kurt arrives. =) I hope you both have a very good time together and let me know how it is and what you’re (both) doing (maybe you blog about it?). I’ll think of you ![]()
@Nathan: You know, when I have you around I almost don’t eat any chocolate (that’s how it was last summer at least). Cola’s choc-attacks are just a substitute for her inner satisfaction
Chocolate in the States isn’t as good as the German anyway ;-P But I’ll bring the chocolate cooking book that you gave me as present, haha ![]()

I fear it’s ‘no comment’-time at the moment. It’s like most people are too shy or too lazy for writing something themselves. (Very glad, you’re the opposite
Anyway, my comment about your blog vote: When I voted I was very suprised at first, that 100% voted for half German/half English… until I saw I was the first and only one who had voted yet. *g*
Maren | November 21st, 2006 at 10:49 amSooo, I would say stay with some posts in English and some in German, so there’s always something for everybody to read. And if it’s really important maybe say it in both languages like you do now.
But maybe I’m not the best judge here, cause I sometimes don’t even realize while reading that you’re mixing languages.
I wasn’t at the Alumni meeting, by the way, but I’d say you weren’t either. Just too much to do at the moment… and not much time left, before Kurt arrives(exactly 5 days and ten mintues!!)
Thinking about you a lot at the moment… what a big step! I send you a big hug and hope the mental stress is bearable.
Alles Liebe,
Maren
