Bad things are everywhere. Living is about appreciating the good ones.

Zu Gast bei…den Winners

For those who didn’t know…tonight was the (soccer) quarter final game

GERMANY ::: ARGENTINA

=> 1:1 (with overtime), and after penalty shots 4:2 for Germany!!!

Now we’re already under the best three, aren’t we?

Who would have thought it?!??

We have a great chorus of horns here, flattering German flags on cars and flags winded around people’s bodies.
Party on the roads and everywhere… thank god it’s friday and we have a very good reason to party:
*honkhonkhonk*, or in German just: *nööötnöötnöööööt* for the winner!

Germany 2:0 Schweden

During

we spent our time in the woods/”mountains” at Ascheberg, where it was quiet, idyllic
picknick at ascheberg
and where there were no people…except for this guy (he’s the founder and the first chancellor of the German Reich, do you know his name..?)
founder of German Reich

we missed this:

Scha la la laaa, we’re in the quarter-finals

Busy June

The last days or better the last 3 weeks have been very busy and my blog became a little bit dusty…*blooow*.
Nathan arrived on May 30, I had an interview in Hamburg, I did lots of renovating work, I became one year older and I had a great Taco birthday dinner made by Nathan on the 10th. Here my first taco before folding:

and the delicious guacamole (an avocado cream, yumyum), the refried beans, the salsa (everything self-made!), then meat, green onions, corn and salad. See here:

My whole daily food/meal plan changed from now on, because Nathan is an exceptionally gifted cook and he creates the best food for the best eater…me :)
Last Friday the Kiel Week started. It is the biggest sail event in the world and a besides that a huge party with international artists, international food and cool happenings all over Kiel Kieler Woche Website.
On the 17th we saw a break dance show and a drum show called “Omnia” with the probably best female drummer of the world. Nate made a movie with his digi-cam and maybe I can upload it here some time. Last Sunday we then went out for brunch in Kiel. It was Nathan’s first real brunch, he said. We ate at the “El Paso”, which is an American/Mexican restaurant, hihi. This was not the reason why we went there; they just have the best (affordable) brunch of Kiel there.

With full bellies we went for a quick walk and visited the Online Editorial Department of the Kiel Week where friends from my studies are working for the online content of the website kielerwoche.de. It is in German but if you want to see what the Kiel Week is about, there are some movies and texts with photos, produced by the Multimedia Production students from Kiel, click here.

We went on to see the famous soap box derby (Seifenkistenrennen), one of the attractions of the Kiel Week. It was getting very hot and humid out. The derby was fun though. Here is the link to photos and the movie . After that we had the idea to play mini golf at a place a little bit outside of Kiel, in Probsteierhagen. My hay fever was very bad that day and unfortunately the mini golf was in a garden that was full of trees (of course every garden has trees *g*), flowers and flying pollen *hatschi*. I think because of my sneeze attacks, and only because of that, Nathan could win the game. Afterwards we had two delicious pieces of strawberry and walnut-marzipan cake.

I forgot to say that the renovating of my sleeping room is done now…finally. The room changed from a cold blue-white to a warm sunflower yellow with a white border a hand wide to the ceiling. Looks very nice! It was worth the work. The room developed from being the coldest room in my house to the warmest what may have to do with the fact that the sun heats up the room every morning now, not to forget the new insulation behind the wallpaper. Here is a quick shot of the new colored room: new color Like it?
Compare how it looked before:
blue.
An online lexicon for (erotic) color tips for the sleeping room said that pink or yellow are the best colors for the sleeping room, so…I decided for yellow :innocent1: and hope for “heitere vom Alltag losgelöste spielerisch-aktive Erotik”…detached from everyday life happy playful-active erotic…yup.

Note: I didn’t give up with my PiCola Quiz, I already have a new one since quite a while…just no time to post it, sorry….but later ok? Because now we want to go on a little trip.
