Old Halloween Impressions
Oct 31, 2006 ~ filed under: Australia & English & Visuelles ~ 0 comments »Sigh…the good old time(s) in Perth, I miss them, especially this time of the year, because it’s exactly 2 years ago that I was in great Aussieland.
Each year when it’s Halloween I must look at the photos that we took at our great Halloween party in Matt and Steve’s house in Perth.
Just to remember it together, here are some (ok, I posted them last year as well, but I guess not everyone has seen them yet):

Internet Explorer 7 and Firefox 2.0
Oct 30, 2006 ~ filed under: English & Well-informed ~ 0 comments »For those of you, who don’t know it yet, a quick recommendation:
There is an updated version (a new release) of the Internet Explorer and the Mozilla Firefox browser available!
I was always a fan of the Firefox browser, but the new version of the IE (Version 7) impresses me!
The first time that my weblog looks the same with both browsers, because the IE always displayed some design elements differently.
Now the IE uses tabs as well.
I still use “my” beloved Firefox, but from the first view I would say that the Microsoft developers did a big step toward better browsing.
So, please everyone update your Internet Explorer (if you’re an IE user) to the newest version and my Blog-choCOLAde will be more pretty for you.
It is also recommended to update the Firefox, because of fixed security vulnerabilities and improved browsing aspects.
The website for the new version of Firefox, click here.
The website for the new version of the IE, click here.
That’s it for now, have a good start in the week.
I’m not ill anymore (I think), yay. Only a 5 days cold, that’s not too bad. My health program was probably very good.
No Halloween party for ill Cola
Oct 29, 2006 ~ filed under: A-life & English ~ 1 comment »In a couple of days is Halloween. The parties already were yesterday or the day before here.
I didn’t go to a party. I was ill and I worked Thursday and yesterday doing some sales promotion in Hamburg. Yesterday was the John Lennon Talent Award in the “Docks” club/hall in Hamburg. The five newcomer bands all were pretty good. I worked at the entry with a colleague and we had fun with the security guys who split pizza, chips and pretzel sticks with us, gave us (or better my colleague) roses (just a cheap flirt), and brought us drinks; very nice.
Actually I worked in my bright green “dress” again, but this time our job was a little different. No air balloons (yeah), no air-filled plastic hands (yeah yeah), just taking photos of the visitors, manage the guest list, give stamps to the guests, distribute flyers and give aways and promote the event, of course. Very easy going job this time for ill Cola.
Here you see the a collection of the band flyer cards and my “necklace”
Else I was lying in bed/on couch under a thick blanket, drinking lots of tea with lots of honey, unfortunately ate lemons and mandarins too much, so that my skin is totally irritated now. Damn, I must have known that, because I shouldn’t eat lemon fruits. You know that I’m a sensitive allergy-missy. But, what can you do? I could have gone to a Halloween party without wearing a costume, is that enough to say? Hehe…actually not very funny, but I’m glad that my skin feels better today. No more horror Cola.
If you have the fall-flu or feel bored you can save Max the ghost in a jump and run online game (free and easy to play)
As you can see below, I have a new “mood checker”! In case you cannot read between my lines, you still know how I feel. I don’t know, if I’ll always want to tell you my mood, but we’ll see
But since I’m Gemini AND a woman my mood might change quickly.
I hope you had/have a sweet halloween party,
hhhuuuuauaaaaahhhhh!

Love in a cup
Oct 25, 2006 ~ filed under: A-life & Delicious & English & Visuelles ~ 7 comments »Or my amazing “milk foam grounds” result from a latte macchiato made by my best friend Anja!
I don’t read my coffee grounds (kaffeesatz), I read my MILK FOAM grounds now.
It says:
LOVE. Pure Love. Well-defined.
I talked to my friend Anja about mrNatey and missycola and their plans…so I take the cup-result as a good sign for the future of our love =)
Kisses for my (missed) mister chocolato.
P.S.: I can make art, too. Only by drinking coffee and thinking of you.
Bad bad internet or maybe the best invention?
Oct 23, 2006 ~ filed under: A-life & English & PiColaQUIZ & Well-informed ~ 2 comments »First, I’m glad to tell you that my PiCola Quiz was just solved. Congrats to Mr. Bob!!
Else I’m very busy at the moment with work and with my offline life. Besides I’m thinking about building a new weblog. Actually I already created one…I’m just playing around with designs and develop/improve-ment.
The new blog will be probably in German then…I’m not sure yet, but I think, my German readers are mostly the ones who really write comments here…maybe my English is a hassle for my international readers? I hope it’s not too bad?
Hmmm, I don’t know, if can handle two blogs at the same time though. It already is not enough time to write one blog as often as I could tell you my great and (careful, here comes some Cola-irony) always interesting stories *g*.
The World Wide Web. Based on the internet. Everyone knows it, a lot of people know how to use it and almost everyone uses it at least once in a while. I found two movies about the topic of advantage or disadvantage of the “net”.
There is no good and bad; mostly good and bad things are interdependent, but look and see:
In the following two movies you see how AmericaOnLine shows the internet-influenced-world, starting with the negative version:
(link to the “bad-internet” movie)
or
(link to the “good-internet” movie)
via basicthinking.
I’m a pro (what else did you expect from me *lol*…sorry hon). The internet is good (for me) because it offered me more advantages than disadvantages yet. It also brought me away from television, yupp it made me a TV-avoider ;o).
Of course I don’t like to be transparent/naked to everyone (although I’m a little exhibitionist, hihi), but if you know the rules, the you can brake them! Means, I know how to protect my identity at least more than others do.
Honestly once in a while I like to play being a spy (a nice spy though). Sometimes the internet can be very useful to find out things that are important for your further life (about things, people, relations, and so on). I know who you are and I know where you live and don’t play with me, don’t lie, I know everything! Hehe!!
The internet helped me to find the truth about someone that I had a relationship with a few years ago. I was happy that he was not aware (I avoid the word ‘smart’ here, because others will then say that I’m “man-hating”) enough because he never knew what I knew, even not after enough hints from MY side.
Ok, he wasn’t one of the cleverest guys on earth. Sorry I couldn’t avoid saying this. He still is one of the ignorant and unknowing men of this planet, pssssst.
I’m glad the internet still simplifies my life. What I want to know, I’m mostly able to find out…in the world wide web.
planetcola is innocent (yet) and if that changes she knows how to hide.
Yours Miss ColaMarple
