This is an old list, but it is still true and maybe it didn’t reach your mailbox yet…therefore: enjoy!

1. You try to type a password into your microwave./Du versuchst beim Mikrowellenherd dein Passwort einzugeben.
2. You do not know that one can also play Solitaire with real cards./Du weißt nicht, dass man Solitaire auch mit echten Karten spielen kann.
3. You have 15 different phone numbers to reach your 3-people-family./Du hast 15 verschiedene Telefonnummern um deine 3-köpfige Familie zu erreichen.
4. The reason why you loose the contact to your friends is, because they do not have an email address./Der Grund, warum du den Kontakt zu deinen Freunden verlierst, ist, weil sie keine E-Mail Adresse besitzen.
5. You do not know, which stamp to use for a standard letter./Du weißt nicht, mit welcher Briefmarke man einen Standardbrief frankiert.
6. For you it means to be organized, when you have multi-colored post-it’s./Für dich bedeutet organisiert sein, verschiedenfarbige Post-It’s zu besitzen.
7. You have read most of the jokes you know in emails./Die meisten Witze, die du kennst, hast du in E-Mails gelesen.
8. You answer your home phone with the company name./Du gibst den Firmennamen an, wenn du am Abend zu Hause das Telefon abnimmst.
9. At home you press the 0 to dial out./Du drückst Zuhause die 0, um beim Telefonieren rauszuwählen.
10. You sit at the same desk since four years and you have worked for three different companies./Du sitzt seit vier Jahren am selben Schreibtisch, und hast dort für drei verschiedene Firmen gearbeitet.
11. The company plaque changes once a year to follow the Corporate Design./Das Firmenschild wird einmal pro Jahr dem Corporate Design angepasst.(!!!)
12. If you want to watch a 90-minute movie on TV, you need to devote three hours time, because of the interrupting commercials./Wenn du einen 90-Minuten-Film im Fernsehen angucken willst, musst Du dir drei Stunden Zeit nehmen aufgrund der Werbeunterbrechungen.
13. In despair, you search for the keys “CTRL”, “ALT” and “DEL” on your remote control, when your television has interfenences or malfunctions./Du suchst verzweifelt die Tasten “STRG”, “ALT” und “ENTF” auf deiner Fernbedienung, wenn der Fernseher aufgrund einer Sendestörung rauscht. (!!!)
14. Your business card is German on the front side and English on the back side. Both sides only distinguish between the country code./Deine Visitenkarte ist auf der Vorderseite Deutsch, auf der Rückseite Englisch. Beide Seiten unterscheiden sich nur durch die (+49). (!!!)
15. You work from 8.00am to 9.00pm. The first six hours you work for the Internal Revenue Service./Du arbeitest von 08:00 Uhr bis 21:00 Uhr, davon die ersten sechs Stunden fürs Finanzamt.
16. You can never test your car in the fourth or fifth gear, because of traffic conditions./Die Verkehrslage ließ es noch nie zu, in deinem Auto den vierten oder fünften Gang auszutesten.
17. Your parents or kids describe you and your job as “he/she does something with computers”./Deine Eltern oder Kinder beschreiben dich und deinen Beruf mit “er/sie macht was mit Computern”.(!!!!!!)
18. You recognize your children because of the photos on the desk./Du erkennst deine Kinder dank der Fotos auf dem Schreibtisch.
19. You do not calculate the size of your music collection in CD’s, but in gigabyte./Du berechnest die Größe Deiner Musiksammlung nicht mehr in CDs, sondern in Gigabyte.
20. You read the time from your mobile phone and not from your (wrist-)watch./Du liest die Uhrzeit von Deinem Handy, und nicht von Deiner Armbanduhr ab.
21. You have read this list and constantly nodded./Du hast diese Liste gelesen und dauernd genickt. (!!!)
22. You think about whom you could forward this list via email./Du überlegst dir, wem du diese Liste per E-Mail weiterleiten kannst. (!!!)
23. You post (old) fun stuff in your blog./Du postest (jahrealte) Schmunzeleien in Dein Blog.(!!!)
