Wordpress Kontaktformular - Contact Form

Puh, die letzten 10 Tage habe ich viel zu tun gehabt, viel gearbeitet und wenig Schlaf. Hier im Blog ist wenig passiert, dennoch habe ich etwas im Hintergrund an der Technik und am Design gebastelt.
Ich hatte vor langer Zeit ein nettes Kontaktformular plugin entdeckt (cforms) und wollte es endlich mal ausprobieren und einbauen, und zwar in die Seitenspalte zur Rechten. Hat auch gut geklappt, allergings habe ich sogleich, d.h. innerhalb von 12 Stunden) 12 Spamnachrichten erhalten. Interessanterweise handelte es sich um trackback spam, und nicht um Werbekommentare über das neue Kontaktformular. Ich denke aber, dass da trotzdem ein Zusammenhang besteht, denn 1.) bin ich seit Monaten spam-frei. Kommentarspam und Trackbackspam kenne ich nicht mehr.
Da ich 2.) außer dem neuen Kontaktformular keine Änderung an meinem Blog vorgenommen habe, gehe ich davon aus, dass die spam bots vielleicht die in dem Kontaktformular plugin enthalten “heißen” Worte, die auf ein Eingabeformular aufmerksam machen, gefunden haben oder so ähnlich. Eigentlich sollte das Kontaktformular gegen spam gefeit sein; ich hatte es mit der eingebauten Captcha-Methode (Zahlen-Buchstabenkombination Bildchen) genutzt.
Mein vorheriges Kontaktformular (pxsmail in Verbindung mit akismet) konnte ich nicht in der sidebar anzeigen lassen, aber es hat mir zumindest bisher keinen einzigen spam-Kommentar gebracht. Daher werde ich es nun erstmal wieder benutzen.
Ich hatte mich auch gefragt, ob ich überhaupt wirklich ein Kontaktformular brauche, bzw. ob meine Leser auf eins bestehen würden. Die meisten meiner Besucher kennen je eh meine Emailadresse. Ich weiss, dass es viel schneller und bequemer ist, eine Nachricht über so ein Formular zu schicken, als die Emailadresse zu kopieren (die ja meist noch antispammässig a la “name [at] webmail [dot] com”) verschlüsselt ist, und dann noch das eigene Emailprogramm oder den Webmailer zu öffnen. Ja, heutzutage ist Zeit rar und man wird immer bequemer. Dennoch denke ich, dass bei so kleinen schnuckeligen Seiten, wie meine, ein Kontaktformular nicht unbedingt nötig ist, da ich ja nicht Hunderte von (Stamm-)Besuchern habe, die mir etwas mitteilen wollen.

I was pretty busy the last 10 days. A lot of work and less sleep. Not much blog action here since quite a while, although I worked on my blog’s technique and its design a little bit.
Some time ago I found a nice contact form plugin (cforms). Finally I wanted to try it out. It was possible to show the form in the sidebar and I thought that’s neat. Installation was easy and the form appeared in the sidebar without a problem. The only problem was that I got 12 spams in only 12 hours. I must say that it was not comment spam, but trackback spam. Weird, because I didn’t get any spam for months.
I haven’t changed anything on my blog, therefore it must have something to do with the new contact form. I guess that the spam bots read out some “hot” words, which imply a contact form. I even used the inbuilt anti-spam function (captcha).
My previous contact form plugin (pxsmail combined with akismet) didn’t show up in the sidebar, but at least I never got any spam message over it. Therefore, I will use again.
Anyway, I was wondering if my blog really needs a contact form at all. So far, I only got a few countable messages over it. Would you mind if I only offer an email address and no contact form? I think most of my readers know my email anyway, although I know the pro-form arguments…it is faster to just type a message in the form, instead of copying the email address and open the own (web) mailer to send a message.
Wanna hear my opinion? A contact form may be important for high-frequent websites, but not for my cute little blog.
