Ready for the Halloween Kids

Hihi, I am ready for the Halloween kids who will ring my door bell in a little bit.
Last year I was surprised when a crowd of little kids in dark costumes stood in front of me, shouting “Suesses oder es gibt Saures” (the German words for “Trick or Treat”). I didn’t have many sweets to give and felt quite bad, because they were so cute.

This year it is different. I told my dad that I await the dressed-up Halloween kids tonight at my door, and unfortunately I don’t have anything to give them.
He said, “we can give them apples.” :) Hahaha, yes, we still have enough from the garden.
But then he made a sad, thinking face, and added: “oh well, we need to get them some sweets then”.
I was glad that we thought the same way. Yay.
So, I got some chocolate

and in the case no kid is coming this year (but I don’t think so), then my dad will have all the chocolate. We chose the chocolate together. Actually my dad chose it, and he really hopes that in the end there will be at least rests of chocolate for him. :))

In a little decoration “yeah I like costume parties and events” fever I decorated my window and my door a little bit. You know, they should not miss my door, because I am PREPARED now.
AND: this year I will try to take a photo of them. It will be a trade…treats for photo! Hehe!
At least I will ask them, and you can see how the German kids do on Halloween.

Check this post later tonight, for maybe added photos of German Halloween kids.

One hour later…
7pm: no vistors yet. streets are empty. quite a lot of joggers out tonight.

7.50pm: sniff sniff, who stole all the kids??

8.32pm: 1st tea light is finished, exchange of tea light in my pumpkin light, saw one more jogger, no kids, nobody on the roads, just joggers??? ok, it is rainy weather, but hey kids, that doesn’t keep you away from your chance of getting lots of yummy sweets?!

8.38pm: idea: maybe my dad (next door) keeps the kids away to secure more chocolate for himself?

9.35pm: frustrated.

10.55pm: I give up. Too late for kiddies running around in the darkness outside. Me = grumpy. :| My dad = happy. ^_^

Schade.
