There it is again – the mean blog language struggle
There it is again. I am annoyed of my struggle if I shall write my posts in English or in German. I know that it must be very confusing for my readers that I once write in German and then a few times in English again. I’m sorry for that. It has been a long time since I looked in to my statistic program, which told me recently that more links from Germany hit my blog than from elsewhere in the world. I could have lost my English readers in that time when I switched to my writings in German. Or in the time when I didn’t write much here anyway. Well, most comments that I get are from Germans, so I wonder if it makes any sense to write in English any further?
I thought, now that I live in an English speaking country, it makes it easier to quickly write my thoughts down in English and it would be a good practice. Otherwise, family and friends who called me lately, recognised that I am slightly losing German words. Actually, it often takes me a few seconds until I find the correct word in German. I always thought, when people came back from living a longer time with the English language and could not speak proper German anymore, it was more “acting” than “natural”, if you know what I mean. Well, I don’t speak German here at all…only when my parents call me once in a while (once a month or so). A good friend from home wants to call me on a regular basis now, so that I stay in practice…for my German!
No worries, I think I can still write funnier posts in Germany anyway. I think my sweet (lol) character is coming through my writings in German language a lot better. However, I also like to write in English. I just cannot play with the language as good as with my mother tongue.
Still, I am not sure how to solve my writing blockage.
I don’t want to do the effort and write every posting in English AND German, even that I know, it would suit everyone.
Dear English speaking/reading visitor, if I am switching back to write in German language, I am sorry, because I didn’t know that you were reading my blog.

Hm, I hope I will find out through this entry if there are more English speaking blog readers.
The Google translator is awful! What a pity that there isn’t a better translation software…
Yes, of course I have a photo of Nathan’s hair. You know me and my quick shots.
I already wanted to post about it…I only need to get the photos (there is actually a few) ready for upload. (a bit of editing and compressing)

Hi Anja!
I guess I’m the only English speaking (and reading) person who is following your blog – or at least who responds to it (occasionally). I totally understand your reasoning for switching to German and will go back to using the Google translator!
I do have one request though – about a photo of Nathan’s haircut – do you have one you could post? If not, that’s okay – not to worry!
Thanks! Love, Hannah
