Winter Weather Chaos in Germany

January 12, 2010 - ENGLISH & Germany - (2) COMMENTs

While we sweat off our bum in Perth, Germany seems to have a snow overdose as it hasn’t happened for a century or so.
In my home town and the area there is usually not much snow at all, as we live at the coast and it mostly is too wet and also too warm for snow to stay.
Well, this year my best friend tells me that she’s going sledging every day. What??????? I can’t even remember when I did it the last time…It must have been more than 12 years ago.

Well, and then the risen sea level. Jeez!

Over east, in Dresden (about 600km away) at Mau’s home it looks snowy white as well. But I think they usually get a good portion of snow each winter. I live in the far north and thick crunchy snow is hardly seen for longer than a few days. Have fun everyone back home…I’m going to the beach now. 8)

Thanks to my dad who took the photos for me. Good shot with the duck in the picture, hihi. ;)

I think that we had so much snow must have been more than 12 years ago – even in the EAST :) xxx

Ja cool, and both of us are as far away as possible from the snowy home towns. Bummer! But still, I prefer our 7 months long summers here in Aussieland.
