New image-popUP plugin

I installed a new plugin that opens the images in my blog as a pop-up. Before I used the zap_imgpop. Now I am testing the thumbnail-viewer, which opens the images in a similar way like lightbox, but as said faster. Besides the thumbnail-viewer script is a little bit smaller in size.
In my opinion the images open up a little bit faster now, what do you think? Well, you can let me know if it makes a (speed) difference to you, if you like. Thanks!

Januar, also letzten Mittwoch, an, obwohl es ja hiess “6-10 Werktage”.

Also: merken und öfter mal vorbeischauen.

Spontaneously I felt like creating a new header image. How do you like it?

The photo in the image is a part of the late Christmas mail from America that reached me three days ago. At December 18 the package already left the States and it finally reached me at January 9, although it said “6-10 business days”. This time I can blame it on the German Post or more the German customs. Anyway, I was very pleased with the presents!!! One of the gifts was the picture of us in the frame. I didn’t even know the photo, which Nathan took last summer with one of his antique (analogue) cameras. I also love the frame. Sigh…mr.natey really knows how to give presents like no other. Again and again…and hopefully it never stops. ;)

Well, back to the new header; like it? Can stay? Or has someone longer page loads now?

I wish everyone a wonderful weekend! Unfortunately I am ill since about a week with being in bed most of the time, of course not without my laptop, which you probably noticed because I am back at regularly blogging. This shouldn’t change, so remember to visit me for new posts more often.

Bitte um finale Abstimmung - Please give me your final vote

Not that you oversee it, but I have a final vote on my blog’s language. This time you can only vote German or English to avoid a possibility in-between. Clever, huh? As I told you earlier, the result of the last poll was not very satisfying; let’s say it was not a clear result. Therefore, please vote again! Either below or in the right column. I don’t want to know which language you speak, but in which language you want to read my blog! It shall help me to decide how to write more entries in less time with less effort, because writing my thoughts twice (in two languages) takes a lot of time and it is quite exhausting as well.

Edit Jan 9: Because of some ‘vote manipulation’ issues mentioned in comment no.8 the poll is available in the sidebar (to the right) only.

Blog Language II Final Result

I don’t want to wait any longer for a final result of my poll about my blog’s language. Here comes the voting result:

“English only” = 1 (darling)
“German only” = 2 (two German visitors)
“English/German 1:1″ = 5 (4 Germans, one person from New York/USA who might be English, maybe German living in NY, who knows)
“I don’t care I understand both” = 5 (4 Germans and one ? don’t know)

Conclusion:
Undecided…moaning.
Totally 10 Germans, 1 English and 2 “don’t know”’s voted.
Thank you all for taking part!!!
The majority voted for English AND German or both, because they understand both.
Well, this does not really help me. Damn I should have not given this poll choice.

But most of these persons who voted are Germans, which means that they probably prefer to READ German although they can understand English.
This means for me that the 4 Germans who voted for “1:1 English/German” would read the German blog part and not the English words, am I right?
Then the 4 Germans who don’t care probably prefer to read my blog in their native language, which is German. Am I here right again?
There is only one for only English and I know it was my love.
The one who voted for “I understand both” was probably German, too…I don’t know an English native speaker who understands German that well to read my blog in German. Anyway, English native speakers probably would vote for English only.

I know that my poll result is not very objective.
However, I think that most of my readers and most of the people who leave comments in my blog are Germans although, not long ago, I had more internationals surfing my site…it might have changed.

You know what, I just make another poll…yes, another one! Ha! Hey - don’t moan, it is just another click, it does not hurt, but it makes ME (maybe) hopefully happy. …and I confess I’m lazy with writing bi-lingual content at the moment *g*

Now it is your turn…please make your final vote whether you like to read my blog stories in English or in German.
Ha, that’s mean now, isn’t it? :P

Blog Language II Intermediate Result

The result for my blog poll so far:

4 don’t care about if I write in English or in German; they understand both.

3 want my writings half English half German (1:1).

2 want that I write my blog in German.

Hmm…this isn’t a clear result, as usual.

Maybe I should have asked who better LIKES TO READ English or German…I mean, I understand English, but if I could choose I would like to read websites/blogs in German. It is just faster to read and I understand the hidden jokes (sarkasm, etc.) better.

As you might have noticed I am a little bit lazy with writing my entries in two languages at the moment. :whistling: I also thought if the majority seems to understand English I can just write in one language. Would be good to know which language the 3 people who voted for the 1:1 solution speak and prefer!??! They probably don’t read both languages. Hmm…

However, if you haven’t voted yet, please feel free to take part in my poll in the right column. THANKS!
